Our Story
When Two Hearts Became One
Their love story technically began with a swipe, but the real magic didn’t start until a few months later. Samantha first came across John on Hinge in October 2022, but it wasn’t until February 2023 that they finally met in person. And thank goodness they did.
Our first date was at The Laundromat in Morristown, a cozy underground spot with live music and absolutely terrible cell service (which becomes important in a minute). As soon as Samantha walked in and saw John, her heart practically dropped into her stomach — in the best way. His profile photos had definitely not done him justice. Let’s just say: hubba, hubba.
After a couple of hours of great conversation and a lack of cell service, a group of John’s friends suddenly showed up at the bar. Samantha was convinced it was a pre-planned exit strategy, a polite way to end the date early. But John quickly insisted it was a total coincidence and promised he was having a great time. (He swears it’s still true.) Soon after, they left together so Samantha could make her 8 am Pilates class, and that’s when she knew she was a smitten kitten.
Since then, they’ve been each other’s perfect balance. John is the calm to Samantha’s crazy, the clean to her messy, the yin to her yang. They click in all the right ways, whether they’re cooking new recipes together, finding the best food spots in Hoboken, binge-watching shows, or planning their next adventure.
One of those adventures took them to London, Samantha’s favorite city. That’s where John proposed, with the most romantic backdrop imaginable: overlooking Westminster Abbey and Big Ben. It felt like a real-life postcard and the perfect beginning to the next chapter of their story.
The day has arrived — our hearts are full and we can’t wait to say I do and dance the night away with all of you by our side.
We’re so excited to spend an incredible weekend surrounded by our closest family and friends. Here’s everything you need to know about where to be, when to be there, and how to join in the fun.
